Responsibilities
Manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts, enhancing pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures.
Show empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to demonstrate compassionate care and resolve insurance and medication issues.
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by maintaining inventory according to best practices and protecting cold chain products.
Onboard new technicians and pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of required training and/or licensure.
Maintain compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate issues as needed.
Build a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues are on track for required training and licensure.
Manage performance of Staff Pharmacists and DPSs through direct observation, peer and team feedback, and validation of results.
Lead by example, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Apply problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions.
Coach, motivate, and inspire the pharmacy team to achieve high performance.
Review business reporting for operational insights and develop action plans to close gaps.
Ensure a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, building psychological safety and encouraging feedback.
Stay current with industry trends and expand knowledge to better support patients.
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care, such as testing and prescribing services.
Requirements
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist.
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time.
Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.
Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety.
Active listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense, day’s supply, and/or number of full bottles and additional bottles needed to fill a prescription.
Ability to identify and address challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force; frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force; consistently lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects.
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

Benefits
The typical pay range for this role is $65.00 - $85.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
