About the role

The Operations Manager at UCI Health is responsible for leading information technology and automated pharmacy systems. They also manage pharmacy informatics related to EPIC and other essential systems to support safe medication use processes. This role oversees pharmacy inventory, collaborates with leadership to meet financial goals, and supervises and trains pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee information technology and automated pharmacy systems
• Maintain and manage pharmacy informatics related to EPIC and other essential systems
• Serve as the direct supervisor and trainer for pharmacy staff and ancillary personnel
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Leadership to meet financial goals
• Oversight of pharmacy inventory
• Supervise and train pharmacy staff and ancillary personnel

Requirements

• Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy with 5 years of experience
• Residency training or 5 years' experience in a hospital setting
• Valid CA Pharmacists' license
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Previous clinical experience in a comparable pharmacy setting
• Previous leadership or teaching experience in a comparable pharmacy setting

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Pharmacy Residency or fellowship training
• Advanced Certification or equivalent training (i.e. BCPS, BCOP, CGP, etc.)
• Training in clinical informatics and/or other IT systems
• Equivalent leadership experience or training
• Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation bodies, survey standards, and outcomes metrics

Skills

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Advanced degree (MS, MBA, MHA)
• Experience with technology systems development, design, implementation
• Certified in clinical informatics and/or other IT systems
