Pharmacy Inventory Control Specialist

About the role

The Pharmacy Inventory Control Specialist works with and at the direction of the Outpatient Pharmacy Inventory Control Manager. This role assists with the direct day-to-day inventory responsibilities across various outpatient pharmacy locations, including receiving and stocking orders, managing out-of-stock and expired medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide department purchasing services and inventory coverage at pharmacy locations as needed for receiving and order management.
• Analyze inventory to facilitate returns of pharmaceuticals.
• Work directly with the purchasing team to monitor drug shortages and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and two years of pharmacy experience (hospital and/or state setting preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy purchasing experience with knowledge of the 340B drug discount program.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with rotating weekends based on operational need.
