About the role
The Pharmacy Inventory Control Specialist works with and at the direction of the Outpatient Pharmacy Inventory Control Manager. This role assists with the direct day-to-day inventory responsibilities across various outpatient pharmacy locations, including receiving and stocking orders, managing out-of-stock and expired medications.
Responsibilities
- Provide department purchasing services and inventory coverage at pharmacy locations as needed for receiving and order management.
- Analyze inventory to facilitate returns of pharmaceuticals.
- Work directly with the purchasing team to monitor drug shortages and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree and two years of pharmacy experience (hospital and/or state setting preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent written/oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy purchasing experience with knowledge of the 340B drug discount program.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with rotating weekends based on operational need.
