Pharmacy Intern - Transplant Pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy in order to be considered.
• P1, P2, and P3 will be considered.
• Must work every 3rd weekend rotation onsite (Saturday and Sunday) and rotational holiday shifts at Medical Center East Pharmacy.
• Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm. In addition to every 3rd weekend, must work 16 hours every two weeks during the academic year. Summer hours are 40 hours per week including every 3rd weekend rotation.

Skills

Essential skills include pharmaceutical drug preparation, dispensing & distribution (novice), pharmaceutical quality assurance & compliance (novice), pharmaceutical computer literacy (fundamental awareness), drug inventory & records management (fundamental awareness).
