Pharmacy Intern Per Diem

Essential Functions

• Affords assistance in medication preparation, repackaging, and distribution under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
• Supports medication reconciliation and clinical oversight to ensure medications are secure and efficacious.
• Complies with state and federal regulations.
• Reports to the Director of Pharmacy.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations

• Displays proficiency in mathematics and science.
• Speaks, reads, and writes English fluently.
• Maintains punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• Successfully completed FPEGC certification.
• Obtained Pharmacy Intern Licensure as mandated by the state.
• Secured BCLS certification.
• At least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Grasps the fundamental roles and uses of computers in prescription order processing with minimal word processing skills.
