Pharmacy Intern
Responsibilities
- Assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems, including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations.
- Participates in performance improvement and data collections activities.
- Prepares dosage, prepares sterile admixtures using aseptic technique, delivers floor stock, packages medications, bills, receives, and stocks medications.
- Maintains inventory control, distributes controlled substances, documents and accounts for medications, inspects medication storage areas, and maintains cleanliness of the department.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment as a Pharmacy Student.
- Current State Board of Pharmacy Certificate of Pharmacy Intern.
- Employment Status: Per Diem.
- Shift: Variable.
