Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring service
  • Telephonic prescription handling
  • Inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription fulfillment, and patient safety
• Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, including counseling, answering medical questions, and providing vaccinations
• Maintaining a high level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members
• Participating in additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession, or being in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
