Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Creating heartfelt and personalized moments for patients
  • Offering medical advice and counseling
  • Telephonic prescription handling
  • Maintaining inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription fulfillment, and patient safety
• Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Providing empathetic and caring service to patients
• Participating in team dynamics and remaining flexible for business needs
• Supporting additional patient health care services as allowed by law and required training

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession, or being in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings (preferred)
• Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
