Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring service
  • Counseling patients and fielding medical questions
  • Telephonic prescription handling
  • Self-awareness and in-the-moment coaching
  • Basic inventory activities
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
• Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, including immunizations and other services
• Maintaining high levels of self-awareness and providing mentorship to team members
• Supporting immunizations by completing additional licensure and training, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and documenting patient information

Required Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession, or process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
