Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling telephonic prescriptions
- Maintaining inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt prescription fulfillment, and patient safety
- Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, offering counseling, and fielding medical questions
- Reporting adverse reactions and maintaining patient records
- Supporting immunizations by obtaining necessary certifications, educating patients, and monitoring for adverse reactions
Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
