Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling telephonic prescriptions
- Maintaining inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
- Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions
- Offering counseling, answering medical questions, and gathering patient information
- Taking telephonic prescriptions, clarifying prescriptions, facilitating medication changes, and supporting immunizations
- Maintaining self-awareness, providing coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members, and sharing best practices
- Completing basic inventory activities as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership
- Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
- Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic
- Voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed by the business
- Understanding and complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
- Complying with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, and patient privacy and security
- Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification
Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
