Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling medical questions and counseling patients
- Telephonic prescription processing
- Maintaining inventory and providing immunizations
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and patient satisfaction.
- Operating as part of the pharmacy team by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication.
- Learning to demonstrate empathy and genuine care, and contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.
- Supporting additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing, where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
Essential Functions
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Concentrate on tasks over a period of time, pivot quickly between tasks, and communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Perform mathematical reasoning and problem resolution tasks.
- Move and lift items as necessary, and maintain physical stamina for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified once state regulations are met.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
