Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring patient experiences
- Handling medical questions and counseling patients
- Telephonic prescription processing
- Maintaining inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
- Increasing responsibility in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of operations in the pharmacy, including:
- Managing and improving patient health
- Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Offering vaccinations and other services
- Providing compassionate care
- Coaching and mentoring pharmacy team members
- Completing inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possession, or being in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Essential Functions
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Concentration on tasks over extended periods
- Quick pivoting between tasks to meet patient and business needs
- Accuracy in confirming prescription information and labeling
- Active listening and clear communication with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Physical demands including mobility, reaching, lifting, and bending
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Experience working in home store and across the market
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
