Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring patient experiences
  • Counseling and fielding medical questions
  • Taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying prescriptions
  • Maintaining inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations and other patient health care services
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
• Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, offering vaccinations, and solving or escalating patient problems
• Participating in team dynamics, remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, and seeking opportunities to expand knowledge
• Complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and adhering to CVS policies and procedures for patient safety

Required Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
