Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring patient experiences
  • Handling telephonic prescriptions and clarifying prescriptions
  • Maintaining inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations and other patient health care services
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operation, prompt prescription fulfillment, and accurate, safe service
• Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Developing a growth mindset, remaining flexible, and contributing to a high-performing, safe, and inclusive team dynamic
• Supporting immunizations, including obtaining necessary certifications, educating patients, monitoring adverse reactions, and documenting patient information

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings
• Ability to work in home store and across the market to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
