Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling telephonic prescriptions
- Maintaining inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service.
- Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication.
- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, offering counseling, fielding medical questions, and soliciting patient information.
- Taking telephonic prescriptions, clarifying prescriptions, facilitating medication changes, and supporting immunizations.
- Maintaining self-awareness, providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members, and sharing best practices.
- Completing basic inventory activities, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback.
- Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic, and volunteering to travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed.
- Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Complying with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, comply with controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping, and protect patient privacy and security.
- Delivering additional patient health care services, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.
Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
