Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring service
  • Handling medical questions and counseling patients
  • Telephonic prescription processing
  • Maintaining inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operation, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and patient satisfaction
• Operating as part of the pharmacy team by applying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication
• Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, offering vaccinations, and resolving patient issues
• Participating in team dynamics, seeking opportunities for growth, and providing feedback to colleagues
• Adapting to scheduling and business needs, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and traveling to various stores
• Complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and adhering to CVS policies and procedures
• Supporting additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
