Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Counseling patients and fielding medical questions
- Telephonic prescription handling
- Maintaining inventory activities
- Supporting immunizations
- Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service
- Operating as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
- Demonstrating empathy and genuine care in patient interactions, offering vaccinations, and resolving patient problems
- Participating in team dynamics, remaining flexible for business needs, and providing in-the-moment coaching and mentoring
- Supporting additional patient health care services as allowed by law and required training
Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possession or process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and focus: Ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly
- Customer service and team orientation: Actively looking for ways to help people and responding appropriately
- Communication skills: Using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical reasoning: Ability to use math to solve problems, such as determining the total number of tablets to dispense
- Problem resolution: Identifying and choosing the best course of action for challenging interactions
- Physical demands: Being mobile and upright for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching overhead, stretching, and bending
