Responsibilities
- Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
- Following company SOPs at each workstation
- Pharmacy workflow procedures
- Providing empathetic and caring service
- Handling medical questions and counseling patients
- Telephonic prescription processing
- Self-awareness and in-the-moment coaching
- Basic inventory activities
- Taking on increasing responsibility for the safety and effectiveness of operations in the pharmacy, including but not limited to:
- Managing and improving patient health
- Safely and accurately fulfilling prescriptions
- Supporting positive patient experiences
- Counseling and answering medical questions
- Clarifying prescriptions and facilitating medication changes
- Maintaining a high-performing team
- Complying with relevant laws and regulations
- Supporting additional patient health care services
- Preparing and administering vaccines
- Monitoring adverse reactions and reporting events
- Collecting and documenting patient information
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Essential Functions
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Concentrate on tasks over a period of time
- Confirm prescription information and label accuracy
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Use math to solve problems
- Resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, reaching, and bending
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Experience working in home store and across the market in other locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
