Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Completion of a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) that build aptitude in areas such as:
  • Following company SOPs at each workstation
  • Pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Providing empathetic and caring service
  • Handling telephonic prescriptions
  • Maintaining inventory activities
  • Supporting immunizations
• Assisting the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, prompt and accurate prescription fulfillment, and patient satisfaction
• Learning to operate as part of the pharmacy team through consistent application of SOPs, best practices, and effective communication
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by offering counseling, answering medical questions, and gathering patient information
• Offering vaccinations and other services as appropriate under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Maintaining a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe and inclusive team dynamic, and traveling to stores as needed
• Complying with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles, and adhering to CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and security
• Supporting additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic staffing

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Possession, or process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
