About the role
Provides pharmaceutical care to customers by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist, counseling customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and adhering to controlled medication procedures as permitted by local, state, and federal laws.
Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for assigned areas by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring loss prevention and safety controls, overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, and developing and implementing action plans.
Ensures the accuracy of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and evaluates potential chemical interactions and side effects associated with prescribed medications.
Maintains accurate dictation, communication, and interpretation of written prescriptions to and from physicians while ensuring confidentiality of information and documentation as required by company policies and local, state, and federal guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by acknowledging customers, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
- Operate equipment such as cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the Pharmacy area by following company procedures, utilizing equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Maintain the Pharmacy area in accordance with company policies and procedures by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Maintain merchandise presentation in the Pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or outdated goods, setting up and cleaning product displays, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile and high-shrink items.

Requirements
- Enrolled in final year at an accredited Pharmacy school.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science.
- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 - $37.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) adjustments based on location.
