About the role

Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as a Pharmacy Compliance Assistant. You will work under the general direction of the regulatory compliance team within the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

  • Aids pharmacy managers with daily tasks related to regulatory compliance
  • Performs cleaning duties for various pharmacy department needs, including carousels, omnicells, cleanrooms, and central pharmacy areas
  • Aids in audits and training of employee processes to improve quality
  • Trains new employees and mentors as requested
  • Completes and passes required annual competencies in a timely manner
  • Complies with all departmental, hospital, and regulatory agency policies
  • Performs environmental monitoring and aseptic technique evaluations as needed

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
  • Certification as Pharmacy Technician
  • Experience in a hospital, compounding, or retail pharmacy setting
  • Experience in document management or regulatory compliance
  • Experience in overseeing the work of others and directing quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or other advanced degree preferred

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Pay

Schedule

Rotating shift, approximately 40 hours per week, with no on-call shifts. Scheduled to work 100% at the Hyde Park Campus, Monday through Friday.
