Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary

Aid pharmacy staff in prescription triaging, prescription delivery, and cashier duties. Work under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prescription triaging, verifying and gathering patient information
• Verify insurance information and assess workload
• Queue prescriptions for processing and deliver prescriptions to patients
• Perform cash register duties and provide quality customer service
• Maintain a professional environment through housekeeping duties
• Keep confidential patient information and comply with state and federal requirements
• Complete mandatory training programs and perform all store clerk duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• AS Degree or higher preferred
• Preferred hospital or retail pharmacy experience
• Must be registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician

Special Conditions of Employment

• Drug test required
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
• Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

Compensation

$16.00 - 17.60 per hour. Final offer determined by relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
