Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary

Aid pharmacy staff in prescription triaging, prescription delivery, and cashier duties. Work under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prescription triaging and verification
• Gather and verify patient information including name, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies, chronic conditions, request for non-safety caps, and insurance information
• Assess workload, set pick-up times, and process prescriptions
• Deliver prescriptions to patients, obtain signatures, and perform cash register duties
• Provide quality customer service
• Maintain a professional environment through housekeeping duties such as vial and container replenishment, label maintenance, and supply management
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Comply with State and Federal requirements
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Perform other store clerk duties as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED
• PREFERRED: AS Degree or Higher
• Preferred: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience

Compensation

$16.00 - 17.60 per hour. Final offer determined by relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
