Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary

Aid pharmacy staff in prescription triaging, prescription delivery, and cashier duties. Work under pharmacist supervision and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prescription triaging, verifying and gathering patient information
• Verify insurance information and assess workload for prescription processing
• Deliver prescriptions to patients, obtain signatures, and perform cash register duties
• Provide quality customer service and perform housekeeping tasks
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with state and federal requirements
• Complete mandatory training programs and perform store clerk duties as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (minimum)
• AS Degree preferred
• Vermont employees must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Vermont
• Preferred hospital or retail pharmacy experience

Special Conditions of Employment

• Drug test required
• Initial and ongoing exclusion and disciplinary monitoring
• Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding minimum wage

Compensation

$15.00 - $15.57 per hour. Final offer determined based on relevant skills, experience, and education.
