Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary

Aid pharmacy staff in prescription triaging, prescription delivery, and cashier duties. Work under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in prescription triaging, verifying and gathering patient information
• Verify insurance information and assess workload
• Queue prescriptions for processing and deliver prescriptions to patients
• Perform cash register duties and provide quality customer service
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a professional environment
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Keep up-to-date with state and federal employment requirements
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: AS Degree or Higher
• Required: Registered with the State of Vermont as a Pharmacy Technician
• Experience: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred

Special Conditions of Employment

• Drug test required
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring
• Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position

Compensation

$16.00 - 17.60 per hour. Final offer determined by relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
