Primary Functions
- Punctuality and being present are the first essential functions of the job.
- Interact with public and staff to actively engage in finding ways to assist patients in accessing medications.
- Operate cash register, handling cash and other tenders of payment such as vouchers, debit and credit cards and balancing registers.
- Answer the telephone, responding to questions and requests.
- Perform all duties, services, and documentation in full compliance with CareArc policies and procedures.
- Maintain and apply knowledge of the 340B program, sliding fee scale, and referral prescriptions.
- Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with 340B program compliance, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating a cash register, credit card machine, and cash handling preferred
- Detail oriented
- A positive attitude
- A team player
