PHARMACY/CERTIFIED TECH

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient intervention through health and wellness services and experiences as allowable by state and federal laws.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Understand and adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and company policies.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or license as required by state regulations.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
• Deliver a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and other applicable regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state, federal, and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services allowed by state and regulatory bodies.
• Comply with and reinforce all sanitation, safety, and health code regulations and procedures according to company, local, state, and federal guidelines; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Qualifications

• Previous comparable experience (desired).
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician (desired).
