Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services relevant to the patient, as allowed by and consistent with state and federal laws.
- Support company health and wellness initiatives.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding confidentiality.
- Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
- Complete all aspects of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
- Compound medications according to state and federal regulations.
- Perform post-fill audits to ensure prescription information matches computer records.
- Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications.
- Conduct CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations.
- Report illegal activity to store management.
Requirements
Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age. Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure is desired. Previous comparable experience is preferred.
Qualifications
Desired: Pharmacy technician experience.
Skills
Ability to handle highly confidential information. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies. Knowledge of state and federal regulations. Compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
