About the role

Fry’s Food Stores, now part of The Kroger Company, seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This position provides exceptional customer service, supports health and wellness initiatives, and adheres to legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support company health and wellness initiatives
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license
• Aid pharmacist in responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment
• Provide a stellar customer experience, completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Coach and train clerks and technicians
• Compound medications according to state and regulations
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information
• Support non-dispensing services using various platforms and applications
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law
• Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations
• Report illegal activity to management

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure desired
• Previous comparable experience preferred
