About the role
Fry’s Food Stores, now part of The Kroger Company, seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support our mission of helping people live healthier lives. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, and adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Support company health and wellness initiatives
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
- Maintain a current national and/or state registration, certification, or license
- Aid the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment
- Provide a stellar customer experience, accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
- Coach and train clerks and technicians
- Compound medications according to state and regulatory guidelines
- Perform post-fill audits to ensure prescription information matches records
- Support non-dispensing services using various platforms, resources, and applications
- Conduct CLIA-waived screenings consistent with state and federal law
- Comply with and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations
- Report illegal activity to store management
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure desired
- Previous comparable experience preferred
