Pharmacy Care Technician - Work From Home (Bartlett, TN)

About the role

CVS Health/Specialty is seeking a Pharmacy Care Technician to work from home in Tennessee. The ideal candidate must live within 75 miles of Bartlett, TN and possess six months of experience in a pharmacy technician role.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including dose calculations and direction assignments
• Accept proper insurance payments promptly
• Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to prescribers for clarification and enter information once clarified
• Answer inbound phone calls, interact with customers, and cross-functional teams to provide education, solve problems, and maintain high-quality service
• Enroll new patients, verify insurance coverage, and conduct benefit investigations and process medication orders for both new and existing patients
• Assist with routine assessment and problem identification, escalating to a pharmacist as necessary

Requirements

• Valid Pharmacy Technician License or Certification as required by the state of TN
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
• Direct/hardwired internet connection within 7 feet of the computer with a minimum download speed of 25 mbs download and 3 mbs upload
• Secure and private home workspace free from distractions

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role
• Six months work experience with Windows-based applications
• Six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude

Skills

• Working knowledge of insurance, health care, and reimbursement-related requirements
• Experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone
• Familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical billing, coding, and medical assisting roles
• Customer service experience in an office environment

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
