Pharmacy Buyer - Chesterfield Infusion Pharmacy - Days

About the role

We are hiring a Pharmacy Buyer to join our team at VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion. The facility will be a four-story, approximately 100,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and medical office building opening in April 2027.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute supply and demand planning and customer forecasting systems
• Develop and implement a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements
• Aid with expenses and revenue budgets as applicable
• Meet customer service objectives
• Ensure and maintain compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements

Requirements

• Current certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of previous work experience as a Pharmacy Tech
• Four (4) or more years of previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Three (3) to five (5) years of buying/purchasing and inventory management experience
• Previous experience working with universally accepted inventory management concepts and applicable Standard Operating Processes
• Experience utilizing necessary systems to perform required tasks, displaying intermediate computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications, data management, database design and maintenance)
