Drug Purchasing, Supply Chain & Inventory Strategy

Leads pharmacy purchasing and supply chain strategy, including wholesaler/GPO performance, inventory management, DSCSA compliance, shortage mitigation, price file accuracy, and cost efficient contracting

Contracting, Vendor Management & Payer Strategy

Partners with Supply Chain, Legal, and Payer Strategy to evaluate and support drug contracting, pharmacy benefit manager relationships, payer reimbursement, and vendor performance – with focus on strategic opportunities to enhance financial performance

340B Program Governance

Oversees 340B activities and growth across the organization, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and operational integrity. Leads contract pharmacy performance, third party administrator oversight, and optimization strategies aligned with regulatory and financial requirements.

Enterprise Pharmacy Financial Leadership

Provides strategic leadership for pharmacy financial performance, including drug budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning. Ensures transparent, accurate financial reporting and leverages automation and analytics to improve efficiency and decision making.

Revenue Integrity & Charge Drug Master Oversight

Oversees strategy for pharmacy charge description master (CDM) management and revenue integrity functions. Ensures compliant, accurate, and timely charge capture and collaborates with Revenue Cycle to resolve denials and reimbursement issues.

Talent Management & Leadership Development

Lead and effectively manage a high-performing team. Responsible for workforce planning and hiring, establishing and maintaining optimal staffing ratios, coaching, performance management, talent management and leader development

Business Intelligence & Analytics Leadership

Directs the pharmacy analytics strategy, advancing automation, dashboards, forecasting tools, and data visualization. Synthesizes trends and insights to support financial, operational, and strategic decisions at the enterprise level

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, or higher in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or related field (Required)
  • Masters Degree, Business Administration, Healthcare administration, Public Health, Healthcare Finance (Preferred)
  • 5 years of progressive work experience in pharmacy operations and/or finance in a healthcare setting (Required)
  • 2 years Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of 340B program compliance and management (Required)
  • 2 years progressive & focused experience in pharmacy drug procurement, supply chain management, contracting & revenue cycle (Required)

Skills And Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of drug pricing, reimbursement structures, and federal 340B program requirements
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy supply chain operations, contracting, procurement, and inventory management
  • Expertise in revenue cycle processes, including charge capture, billing accuracy, payer rules, and charge description master governance
  • High proficiency with analytics, business intelligence tools, automation, and financial modeling
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills within a complex health system
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach leaders, and build high-performing, collaborative work environments
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional partners
  • Ability to drive efficiency through process improvement, standardization, and technology-enabled workflow redesign
  • Ability to manage sensitive regulatory, financial, and compliance-related information with sound judgment and integrity

Licenses and Certifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) within 60 Days (Required)
  • 340B University OnDemand - Apexus within 180 Days (Required)
  • Advanced 340B Operations Certificate (Apexus) within 180 Days (Preferred)

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Pay

Hiring Range $181,800.00 - $263,625.00/Annual
