Shift: Day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
About the role
The Pharmacy Billing Specialist handles all medication billing functions within Pharmacy Services, ensuring alignment with TGH’s mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility and facilitate prior authorizations.
- Collaborate with third-party payers and clinical offices.
- Work with patients and providers to ensure access to medications.
- Assist with denial appeals and financial assistance through funding sources.
- Audit hospital pharmacy billing and resolve claim rejections.
- Support medical bill audits.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in healthcare, retail, pharmacy, or billing (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with a Florida license.
Pay
Minimum salary: $20.76 per hour
