Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm
  • Department hours are 7am-7:00pm
    • May alter due to coverage issues
    • Extended hours and occasional weekend shifts may occur at the end of the billing cycle

Location

  • Onsite at a closed-door pharmacy in Orlando, FL

Essential Job Functions

  • Make collection calls for outstanding invoices
  • Absorb and communicate information to Business Manager for review
  • Establish and maintain relationships with facilities for billing, patient setup, and collections
  • Follow up on rejected claims and gather accurate insurance information
  • Assist Business Manager with credit card payments, statement inquiries, audits, and collections
  • Collaborate with co-workers to meet department deadlines

Education and/or Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Skills and Qualifications

  • 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
