About the role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and licensed Pharmacist to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, process, and dispense medication orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor medication therapies to ensure safety, effectiveness, and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriate indication, dosage, route, frequency, allergies, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide drug information and medication counseling to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct medication utilization reviews and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in clinical pharmacy services, medication management activities, and interdisciplinary patient care rounds.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and pharmacy best practices.
- Assist with formulary management, medication procurement, inventory control, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify medication safety concerns and recommend process improvements.
- Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
- Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- All state-required pharmacist licensures and certifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- One year of pharmacy experience preferred
- Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge, communication, and problem-solving skills
