Pharmacist Team Lead - Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

Under the general guidance of the Specialty Pharmacy Management, this position provides clinical oversight, operational leadership, and staff management within the specialty pharmacy program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal care to patients through proper drug selection, dose, route, duration of therapy, and cost effectiveness.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate pharmacy programs to enhance the quality of existing services within the specialty pharmacy.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize the delivery of care, ensure patient safety, regulatory adherence, maintain certification and/or accreditation standards, and perform various human resource functions.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree and completion of a pharmacy residency program or 2 years of work experience as a registered pharmacist.
• Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience or 2-4 years of work experience as a registered clinical pharmacist with at least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience.
• SC Pharmacist License.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program.
• 2-4 years of work experience as a registered clinical pharmacist with at least 1 year of specialty pharmacy experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
