Pharmacist - PRN
Position Summary
As a Pharmacist at Kintegra Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This position is responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, conducting comprehensive Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and providing pharmacological expertise to multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing & Operational
- Accurately and safely fill prescriptions
- Maintain proper filing of CII–V prescriptions
- Manage perpetual inventory records for CII medications
- Remove outdated, damaged, or recalled merchandise and prepare for return
- Document and report dispensing incidents per protocol
- Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and internal procedures
- Oversee cash management and transaction accuracy
- Train and develop pharmacy technicians
- Participate in audits and maintain readiness for inspections
Clinical
- Conduct MTM and adherence interventions using platforms such as Outcomes MTM, EQUIPP, and Aledade
- Monitor drug regimens for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness
- Identify and resolve drug-related problems including interactions and contraindications
- Provide consultations to patients and healthcare providers
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and clinic team meetings
- Document clinical interventions in Epic and other designated platforms
- Serve as a resource for therapeutic alternatives and medication management
Leadership & Collaboration
- Conduct weekly rounding with clinical staff for collaboration and consultation
- Utilize certified pharmacy technicians to support clinical workflows
- Precept pharmacy students and contribute to staff development
- Provide input to Clinical Oversight and Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees
- Demonstrate leadership and uphold standards of pharmacy excellence and compliance
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Unrestricted Pharmacy License in North Carolina
Three years of pharmacy experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
Prior experience in FQHC or public health preferred
