Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Current registered pharmacist in the state of Florida.
• Board certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties necessary to provide effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs, including compounding, labeling, and dispensing of medication and IV admixtures.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in all work areas.
• Provide clinical services to enhance medication administration and therapeutic outcomes.
• Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the healthcare staff.
• Participate in appropriate committees.
• Provide support for department education including residents, interns, and students.
• Up to 25% variable staff rotation to meet department needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Requires sitting for long periods, stooping, bending, standing, and stretching.
• Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry.

• Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry and lift up to 20 lbs.

Threshold Requirements

• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service, and health requirements, including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
