Scope of Responsibilities

  • Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department.
  • Relying on experience and professional judgment, plans and accomplishes assigned tasks and goals.
  • Implements and adheres to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice for the provision of high-quality healthcare services.
  • Dispenses prescriptions according to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice, performing all quality assurance steps to ensure accuracy.
  • Reports dispensing incidents promptly in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Fulfills State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy.
  • Submits, resubmits, and collects third-party claims.
  • Manages and balances pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while maintaining stock for customer needs.
  • Maintains prescription files and other manual records in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees.
  • Enforces loss prevention policies and reports deviations to Loss Prevention.
  • Maintains a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
  • Maintains professional relationships with doctors and other health service professionals.
  • Stays informed about developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields and applies them to practice.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
  • Works on-call schedule, participating in hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy department personnel.
  • Conducts medication therapy management (MTM), immediate medication review (IMMR), short-stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
  • Aids in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within these guidelines.
  • Interacts with various auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic keyboarding skills.

    $60.00 - $68.75 an hour

    The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors including relevant skills, years of experience, and education.
