Pharmacist, Outpatient - Pharmacy

About the Role

As the Pharmacist at Pali Momi Medical Center, you will compound and dispense medications and supplies, administer immunizations, and supervise pharmacy staff while on duty. You will manage, oversee, and operate all activities of the Outpatient Pharmacy department, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory control, loss prevention, financial profitability, and workflow management. Additionally, you will provide medication information to healthcare professionals and monitor the safe distribution of medications to patients.

Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense medications and supplies.
• Administer immunizations.
• Supervise pharmacy staff during your shift.
• Oversee daily operations of the Outpatient Pharmacy department, including patient safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage quality assurance, customer service, personnel, inventory, and workflow.
• Ensure financial profitability and loss prevention.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals.
• Monitor the safe distribution of medications to patients.

Requirements

• Current Hawai'i Pharmacist License.
• Must obtain Immunization Certification through an accredited organization recognized by the Hawai‘i Board of Pharmacy within three (3) months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
• Not on DEA excluded parties list.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• One (1) year of outpatient pharmacy experience.

Pay

63.96 - 75.25 USD per hour

Schedule

Rotating 8-hour shifts, Per Diem (FTE: 0.475000).
