Pharmacist - Multi-State Specialty
About the role
This position requires multi-state pharmacy license- must be willing to be licensed in 10 states within your first 18 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Fills orders for medications
- Makes sure patients get the right drugs at the right times
- Makes sure patients understand how to take their medicine
- Monitors patients' drug treatments
- Helps other pharmacy workers do their jobs
- Checks to make sure medicines are stored safely
- Reports any problems with medicines to doctors and nurses
- Follows rules about which medicines can be given to children and adults
- Works with doctors and nurses to find better ways to treat patients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (required)
- Current Louisiana Pharmacist license (required)
- Multi-state license required- 10 licenses within 18 months of employment
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- Strong ability to accurately interpret and dispense prescriptions in a retail pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of drug therapy monitoring, interactions, and patient safety practices
- Ability to provide clear medication counseling and clinical guidance to patients and providers

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
