Responsible For

  • Prepares and dispenses medications
  • Evaluates functions related to pharmacy services
  • Data collection, adverse drug reaction reporting, drug utilization evaluation, quality assurance audits, and inventory control
  • Interprets, processes, and monitors medication orders
  • Maintains medication therapy and provides counseling
  • Mentors students, interns, technicians, and others
  • Coordinates and oversees work flow with other team members
  • Maintains a working knowledge of professional standards, regulatory, and licensing agency policies, and organization policies and procedures
  • Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences and assists in resolving them

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to work the hours specified
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Able to communicate effectively with others
  • Able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

  • Pharmacist - Board of Pharmacy active in state of practice
  • Doctorate (PHD) BPS Certification - Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
