Responsible For
- Prepares and dispenses medications
- Evaluates functions related to pharmacy services
- Data collection, adverse drug reaction reporting, drug utilization evaluation, quality assurance audits, and inventory control
- Interprets, processes, and monitors medication orders
- Maintains medication therapy and provides counseling
- Mentors students, interns, technicians, and others
- Coordinates and oversees work flow with other team members
- Maintains a working knowledge of professional standards, regulatory, and licensing agency policies, and organization policies and procedures
- Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences and assists in resolving them
Essential Qualifications
- Ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Able to communicate effectively with others
- Able to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience
- Pharmacist - Board of Pharmacy active in state of practice
- Doctorate (PHD) BPS Certification - Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS)
