About the role
The Pharmacist in Charge, Fulfillment Center at Walgreens is responsible for leading, mentoring, and coaching a team in a closed-door pharmacy setting. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing daily operations, and facilitating continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and company policies.
- Oversee security protocols to protect patient privacy according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain pharmacy records and follow laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Manage daily operations, supervise team members, and ensure adherence to quality and deadline requirements.
- Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement and recommending improvements.
- Complete continuing education credits to maintain pharmacy licensure.
- Lead team meetings, provide feedback, and develop employees.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist with at least 1 year of experience.
- Current pharmacist licensure in multiple states or willingness to obtain within six months.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to drive improvement.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and fostering a team environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to work various hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- PROMISE, INTERCOM, and PLUS computing systems and related functions.
- Micro fulfillment Center leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with project management.
