About the role
The Pharmacist in Charge provides support and education to patients on their medications. They manage staff pharmacists and technicians, if applicable, motivate, inspire, and develop the pharmacy staff by maximizing colleagues' strengths and weaknesses. They address knowledge gaps by increasing knowledge through education and training. They oversee pharmacy operations including patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and education to patients on their medications.
- Manage staff pharmacists and technicians, if applicable.

Requirements
- Required Education & Licenses: Bachelor of Science or PharmD in Pharmacy degree from an accredited university; required licensing/credentialing/certification as established by federal and state regulations in the state in which you are practicing.
- Preferred Experience And Skills: Previous management experience in a retail pharmacy setting; 340b knowledge is a bonus but not required; 3 years related pharmacy experience; Bilingual - English & Spanish preferred; Immunization certification is preferred; Vaccination Administration; Planning and implementation of growth strategies for your pharmacy; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Exceptional patient service skills.
