Pharmacist in Charge

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to run operations at a sterile compounding pharmacy in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will manage daily compounding, keep the facility fully compliant with federal and state laws, and maintain strict quality and safety standards. This position requires an active Nevada pharmacist license and the ability to obtain licenses in other states.

Schedule and Pay

• Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
• Salary: $170,000.00 + potential bonus

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated PIC, ensuring full compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, FDA, and state board regulations. Maintain rules for multi-state operations, including California.
• Oversee sterile compounding workflows, staff scheduling, and quality assurance programs.
• Hire, train, and supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manage environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation.
• Lead all regulatory audits, pharmacy inspections, and board interactions.
• Ensure the proper storage, handling, and dispensing of all compounded sterile preparations.
• Partner with leadership on business expansion, operational planning, and licensing goals.

Requirements

• PharmD or equivalent degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Active Nevada pharmacist license (required) and the ability to obtain a California license (required). Additional state licenses are highly preferred.
• At least 3 years of sterile compounding experience (preferred).
• Prior experience as a PIC or pharmacy manager (strongly preferred).
• Experience working in a 503A or 503B environment is a plus.
• Deep understanding of USP <797>, USP <800>, and multi-state pharmacy regulations.
• Strong leadership, clear communication, sharp attention to detail, and a commitment to quality compliance.
