Pharmacist - In - Charge

About the role

The pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) oversees the pharmacy operations in compliance with relevant pharmacy laws and manages the pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
• Comply with HIPAA, FWA, Corporate Compliance, and state/federal laws.
• Lead the pharmacy team with empathy and compassion, fostering a positive team culture.
• Evaluate patient profiles, manage refills, and assist with drug copay cards.
• Contact prescribers for refill requests and initiate prior authorizations.
• Document notes and codes in patient records and other systems.
• Travel to other HopeHealth locations to coordinate patient care.
• Collaborate with other clinic or pharmacy team members on special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D required.
• Active Pharmacist license with the SC Board of Pharmacy.
• Immunization Certification through APhA.
• 3+ years of pharmacy management experience.
• Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
• PioneerRx Software and ECW experience preferred.
