Responsibilities

• Dispensing & Verification
• Accurately fill prescriptions, verify medication orders, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Advises and consults with patients and families, and medical and nursing staff.
• Meditation Therapy Management (MTM)
• Conduct comprehensive and targeted medication reviews, document interventions, and collaborate with providers throughout the Beebe Healthcare system to optimize therapy and ensure patient safety.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Maintain adherence to HIPAA, DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy board requirements; ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation.
• Inventory & Supply Management
• Monitor stock levels, manage procurement, and minimize waste through effective inventory control.
• Quality Assurance & Safety
• Implement and follow protocols for medication safety, error prevention, and infection control.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with Cape Pharmacy colleagues, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure seamless patient care.
• Technology Utilization
• Use pharmacy management systems for prescription processing, billing, and patient documentation; stay current with technology updates.
• Customer Service Excellence
• Deliver a positive patient experience by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a friendly, collegial environment.
