About the role
Cabin Creek Health Systems is recruiting a floating pharmacist. Position includes dispensing, consultation, ambulatory care, medication therapy management, use of a cash register, and the use of both pharmacy and medical electronic medical records systems. Duties are to be performed at all Cabin Creek Health Systems pharmacies (all within 25 miles of Charleston, WV).
Responsibilities
- Dispensing prescriptions
- Consultation with patients
- Ambulatory care services
- Medication therapy management
- Using a cash register
- Using pharmacy and medical electronic medical records systems
- Pharmacy opening and closing procedures
- Data collection
- Prescription processing
- Inventory control
- Full compliance with HIPAA
- Customer service
- Coordination with other healthcare providers
- General pharmacy support
Requirements
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing in the state of West Virginia
- Experience as a pharmacist in a dispensing setting preferred
- A reliable mode of transportation
- Standing for long periods of time
- Occasionally lifting objects more than 25 pounds
Qualifications
- Experience in a dispensing setting preferred
- Knowledge of pharmacy and medical electronic medical records systems
- Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations
- Good customer service skills
- Ability to coordinate with other healthcare providers
